WTA and UNESCO made a Formal Contract

WTA’s effort in fostering the advancement of science and technology found a partner in UNESCO. The WTA and UNESCO concluded an ACTIVITY-FINANCING CONTRACT
for mutual cooperation on May 6, 2005 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
With this contract, the two organizations will carry out joint projects such as holding a “Workshop on Science City Development for the Public Officials
and Specialists” and establishment of the “UNESCO-WTA Center for Science Cities Development”, and publication of a book titled “Science Cities Development

World Science Forum 2005
10 - 12 November 2005
Knowledge, Ethics and Responsibility will be the theme of this year's World Science Forum
in Budapest, Hungary, from 10 to 12 November. As in previous years, the Forum will co-incide with World Science Day for Peace and Development
on 10 November and be held in Budapest. The Forum will provide a platform for debate and interaction amongst leading world scientists, policy makers,
non-governmental organizations, educational and research institutions, industry, media and the general public. The Forum is organized by the Hungarian
Academy of Sciences, UNESCO and ICSU.

UNESCO-WTA Workshop on Science
City Governance
01 - 07 November 2005
The World Technopolis Association and UNESCO are organizing a
Workshop on Science City Governance from 1 to 7 November this year in the city of Daejeon in the Republic of Korea.
The workshop will cover policy development for science and technology parks, cooperation between industry, academia, research
institutes and government, cooperation among local governments for the development of science cities, etc. To register,
