Accurate basic cartographic products for the whole habitat area of DRC, Rwanda and Uganda have been produced, derived from satellite imagery. The products, which are compatible with GPS, allow national conservation authorities to track the gorillas and monitor any changes or degradation to their habitat, identify park boundaries and map observations.
