Building Human Security: A Dialogue on Prevention
L'objectif principal de ce site est
la collection et la dissémination de l'information sur la gestion
et la prévention du conflit en fournissant de la documentation de
référence et des mises à jour utiles aux personnes qui
définissent la politique et aux universitaires dans les domaines
suivants : la prévention de conflit, la diplomatie préventive,
la construction de la paix, la sécurité et le développement,
les causes de conflits et la sécurité humaine. Le site est
maintenu par le programme le la sécurité humaine du Centre de
Harvard pour la population et des études de développement en
association avec le secrétariat de l'ONU à New York.

La sécurité humaine est une approche de

Le CCSH vise à réunir les communautés
universitaires ainsi que les acteurs des sociétés civiles et
gouvernementaux, afin d’encourager la recherche et le
développement d’une politique appropriée aux nombres de
questions se rapportant à la sécurité humaine. Ces questions
d’étendent à partir d’un vaste concept de la sécurité
humaine traitant du bien-être jusqu'à la violence physique
et les conflits.
Le
centre régional de sécurité humaine du Moyen-Orient
Situé à l'Institut de Diplomacie en
Jordanie est le premier centre du genre dans la région. Le centre
s'est engagé dans un programme de sensibilisation aux questions
de sécurité humaine au Moyen-Orient.

de la Sécurité Humaine
« La Commission de la Sécurité Humaine a été conçue par plusieurs
leaders du monde entier afin de saisir cette occasion de meilleur compréhension

Le
Réseau de sécurité humaine
Compte aujourd'hui plus d'une douzaine de pays de toutes les régions
du monde, tire son origine d'une entente bilatérale entre le Canada
et la Norvège – le partenariat de Lysøen, nommé d'après l'île
norvégienne où ce projet a été conçu. En se basant sur le succès
de la coopération internationale qui a marqué la campagne contre
les mines terrestres, les membres du Réseau se sont attaqués avec
la même énergie et la même conviction à tout un éventail
d'autres menaces à la sécurité des personnes.

Under the human security rubric fall a broad variety of issues and
trends that share a desire to cross boundaries between fields of
social change to promote the inclusive well-being of all human
beings. Scholars, governments, and international organizations have
recently begun using the term "human security" to bring
together these concerns and practices dealing with the many faces
of, and close relationships between, freedom from fear and freedom
from want. The Institute's work is based on these principles. It
provides interdisciplinary education, research, and capacity
building to advance a human security agenda.

"The main objective of this website is to collect and disseminate information on the management and prevention of conflict by providing reference material and updates useful to policy-makers and scholars in areas such as: Conflict prevention, Preventive diplomacy, Peace building, Security and development, Causes of conflicts and Human security.

Human Security is a people-centered approach
to foreign policy which recognizes that lasting stability cannot be
achieved until people are protected from violent threats to their
rights, safety or lives.
Canadian
Consortium on Human Security
The CCHS aspires to bring together academic communities, civil
societies
and governmental actors in order to advance policy research and
development on the various issues of human security. This will
range from broad understandings of human development, well being to
the more narrow focus on.
The
Regional Human Security Centre
Located at the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy
is the first centre of its kind in the region. It seeks to promote
awareness of human security issues in the countries of the Middle
East.

"The Commission on Human Security has been conceived by
several leaders around the world in order to seize this
opportunity of enhanced awareness about human security, and as
stated in the UN Millennium Declaration, to promote broad and
sustained efforts to create a shared future, based upon our common
humanity in the era of globalization."
The
Human Security Network
Grew originally out of a bilateral arrangement between Canada and
Norway — the "Lysøen" partnership, named for the
Norwegian island where the idea was conceived. The Network now
includes participation by over a dozen countries from all regions of
the world. Building on the success achieved through international
co-operation on the landmines campaign, Human Security Network
Members seek to apply the same energy and advocacy to a range of
other threats to human security.

The only postgraduate academic institution in the United Kingdom devoted to the study of the
Commonwealth. Its purpose is to promote inter-disciplinary and inter-regional research on the
Commonwealth and its member nations in the fields of history,
politics, economics and other social sciences, and in subjects like
development, environment, health, migration, class, race, and
literature.
