Tapestry reproduction of a sketch by Le Corbusier, architect, painter and writer of Swiss origin naturalized French.

This tapestry measures 6.8m x 3.5m and is made in "Aubusson" (site of the ancient royal factory which owes its development and renown to tapestries, located in the Creuse in the Centre of France)

The sketch depicts Le Corbusier's evocation of the building in vibrant colours of modern design. The initials of the artist (LC) and the date (20 April 1956) are woven into the tapestry.

Gift from Switzerland in 1962
