"Reclining Figure" (1958)

Sculpted from a block of Roman travertino marble weighing 60 tons at the foot of Mount Carrare in Italy, the finished work weighs 39 tons and was transported to Paris in four pieces.

A reclining figure of pure, round voluminous forms where light penetrates the spaces.
Travertino marble is also used in the architecture of the building.

Included in the construction plans of the building.
