The programme of this course includes lectures on and practical exercises in geological and hydrological methods, emphasizing field work in developing countries.
The topics of this six-week-programme include:
• hydrology and hydrogeology, drilling methods, geophysics, borehole logging, surface and groundwater hydrology, remote sensing methods
• tracer technology, hydrogeochemistry, environmental isotopes, artificial tracers, single well techniques, preparation, performance and evaluation of tracing experiments, sampling methods, examination of water samples, combined application of environmental and artificial tracers
• computer techniques in hydrology, hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, tracing, computer-aided data processing, hydrological data presentation, mathematical models, tracer models and hydrogeochemical modelling.
