Summary:
This conference aims to promote scientific exchange between specialists working on the interface of remote sensing, geoinformation processing, desertification/land degradation research and its socio-economic implications. Thus, both an overview of the current state of the art as well as operational opportunities will be presented, which is especially important to initiate a transfer of expertise from the scientific community to clients interested in applying these techniques.
