Summary:
Based on dialogue between the five nations of the La Plata Basin (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) this event aims at preparing a strategy for the sustainable development of water resources in each territory in line with an agreed agenda aimed at promoting cooperation over the various water related issues. This strategy will take into consideration the opinion and participation of communities, civil society, governments, universities and financial institutions by drawing on technical, scientific and strategic documents, as well as successful practical experiences. The resulting strategy will be presented at the 4th World Water Forum in Mexico.
