Summary:
This conference incorporates UDM and WSUD conferences and will deal with two highly topical issues in Urban Water management:
• modelling of urban drainage systems and the interfaces to other parts of the urban water cycle
• current achievements and problems in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), also known as Low Impact Development Design.
The topics to be included at the UDM conferences as follows:
• flooding and risk management
• impacts of urban climate variability and change
• modelling pollutant generation, transport and sewer processes
• modelling socio-economic and human health impacts
• real-time control systems.
The WSUD conference will include the following topics:
• application of novel technologies - their design and performance
• integration into the urban landscape
• environmental impacts
• construction, maintenance and lifecycle costs
• modelling for integrated urban water management (scaling and multi-criteria approaches).
