Summary:
The main objectives of this conference will be to:
• review and compare the state of water resources in the Mediterranean basin
• find ways to reconcile the scarcity, quality, and durability of resources
• examine the relationships between broad global changes and drought and desertification
• review the methods of assessment and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems
• formulate strategies and identify eco-technological approaches for the restoration and management of aquatic ecosystems
• identify areas of cooperation in aquatic sciences between Mediterranean countries.
