Summary:
The South African Department of Water Affairs and Forestry are to introduce compulsory toxicity testing of complex industrial wastewater as part of South African's water quality resource management thrusts.
This course allows those involved in water resource management to plan new procedures and to satisfy the forthcoming policy. The course has theory and practical components, and will demonstrate how applied aquatic ecotoxicology, biomonitoring and chemical monitoring form the basis for managing environmental water quality. Risk management and a number of case studies are discussed.
