Summary:
The main objective of this workshop is to discuss, deliberate and present experiences and successful case studies for supplying potable water from groundwater resources during emergency situations and adapting new policies for similar situations in the future.
The topics to be included in this workshop are:
• risk management of groundwater resources in emergency situations (floods, droughts and earthquake)
• investigation methods of groundwater resources in emergency situations
• institutional and technical capacities
• impact mitigation of natural disasters consequences for supplying potable water from groundwater resources.
• earthquake influences on groundwater storage and level fluctuation.
