Summary:
This conference will provide a forum for all attendants to discuss and exchange on many hydropower issues such as design, construction, monitoring, operation and rehabilitation of dam construction and, especially, friendly environmental techniques for hydropower development.
The conference will cover the following themes:
• design and construction issues of high arch dams
• dam safety evaluation and reinforcement techniques
• dams and their environment, including fish passes, environment-friendly techniques, reservoir operation taking environmental factors into consideration
• reservoir sedimentation and downstream river erosion.
