This conference will cover a wide variety of topics related to water resources and the environment. While technical sessions will include topics on both developed and developing countries, much of the focus of this conference will be on water resources and the environment in developing countries, especially in Asia.
Some of the topics to be included in this conference are:
• water supply and sanitation in non-urban areas
• wetlands restoration and protection
• inter-basin water transfers
• conflict resolution in interstate and international water disputes
• artificial recharge of aquifers
• global climate change and effect on water resources and the environment
• irrigation management and land reclamation
• saltwater intrusion in coastal aquifers
• privatization and pricing in the water sector.
