Summary:
To accompany the launch of this year's Human Development Report (HDR), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is organizing a Virtual Knowledge Fair on Water, an unprecedented online venture organized through its regional centres in Bratislava and Beirut with a focus on the regions of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Northern Africa.
This event is an opportunity for all participants to discuss thematic issues with water experts and practitioners, exchange good practices, and initiate new partnerships.
The three on-line LIVE discussion forums are:
• Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) - National Planning Processes, Capacity Constraints and Link to Transboundary Water Management (Wednesday 15 November 2006)
• HDR 06 findings, relevance and implications for our regions – moving from words to action (Thursday 16 November 2006)
• New Approaches for Stakeholder Management in Water-Projects (Friday 17 November 2006).
