Summary:
The conference will focus on issues such as scientific and technical assessment of coastal zone; ecological and ecohydrology of coastal ecosystems; dynamics of coastal groundwater; and management of coastal ecosystems. The conference will devote time in discussing the efforts made in rehabilitating coastal communities after the Tsunami. The outcome of the conference will be synthesized into a joint JNU-UNESCO publication.
