Summary:
The world’s delta areas and coasts are under increasing pressure from a range of natural and man-made causes. There is increasing pressure due to the effects of a climate change, but also due to a desire to develop a prosperous economy while maintaining a healthy natural environment.
This event will bring together decision makers in water management, coastal and delta development, and will discuss the following subjects: coastal development and protection, dredging, finance and insurance, harbour construction, integrated river management, land reclamation, modelling, remediation, risk management, urban water management and warning systems.
