Summary:
Some of the objectives of this conference are to:
• disseminate experiences from European (and also extra-European) case studies and share the most promising applied research solutions for integrated River Restoration projects/interventions
• promote the new concepts of the European legislation in the field of water management
• communicate to policy and decision makers that River Restoration offers many key benefits and can play a role in the implementation of important Directives, first of all the European Water Framework Directive, and in facing flood and landslide risks.
