Summary:
The aim of this workshop is to analyse the linkage between human health and wellbeing and the provision of safe drinking water and adequate sanitation. It will focus on the following topics:
• driving factors that connect human health to safe drinking water and sanitation
• major research gaps in the global water-health realm as well as capacity needs in developing countries for addressing those gaps
• new avenues for addressing the policy challenges in provision of safe drinking water and adequate sanitation as part of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
• areas of research that can be addressed through combined efforts of the workshop partner.
