From 2007-08-28 to 2007-08-31
Venue: Delft, the Netherlands
Summary:
The objective of this conference is to bring together scientists and engineers in the area of environmental process engineering and management of sewer systems to present their results, express their views and discuss physical, chemical and biological processes in sewers, and related sewer structural aspects.
Some of the main themes of the conference are:
• interactions between sewers and the urban wastewater system including wastewater treatment, combined sewer overflows and receiving waters
• sewer biofilm, sediments, wastewater and air: characterisation, processes and physical interactions.
• microbial and chemical processes in sewer biofilm, sediments and wastewater
• solutes and sediments transport
• design, operation and control related to sewer processes.
Organizers: Sewer Systems and Processes Working Group (SS&PWG) of the International Water Association (IWA) – International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR) Joint Committee on Urban Drainage; Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands; UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands
