Summary:
A qanat (Kariz/ Khettara) is a traditional water mining system used to provide a reliable supply of water to human settlements or for irrigation in arid and semi-arid climates. The objective of the training course is to provide knowledge on qanat systems based on traditional know-how as well as the application of new technologies. The course is particularly targetted to participants from countries utilizing Qanat systems.
