Summary:
The National Water Agency of Brazil is offering its 6th International Training Course on Flow Measurement in Large-Scale Rivers, in collaboration with the Brazilian Geological Survey Services (CPRM), from 3 to 10 August 2007 in Manaus and Manacapuru, on the Amazon river. International registration is opened to all interested participants until July 26th. Engineers, hydrologists and technical specialists from the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ATCO) member countries are particularly welcomed. Space is limited to 30 participants. The objective of this course is to train professionals in techniques and methods of measurement and calculations of stream discharge in large-scale rivers. The course combines theoretical and practical sessions on large-scale rivers of the Amazon region. Course participants will be provided with all necessary course-related materials. Other associated costs (per diem, travel, room and board) are of the responsibility of each interested party.
