From 2002-03-25 to 2002-03-28
Venue: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Berkeley, California, USA
Summary:
The purpose of the Symposium is to bring together hydrogeologists, geologists, hydrologists and engineers collecting and analyzing field measurements or conducting lab experiments with those focused more on modeling. The Symposium will provide a forum for a dialog and exchange of ideas, which will enhance the ability of both groups to better describe and understand flow and transport processes in heterogeneous media. The Symposium aims also at promoting the dialog between researchers and practicing engineers and scientists.
General Topics:
- Flow & transport processes in heterogeneous media
- Innovative field measurement & interpretation methods
- Characterization of heterogeneous media
- Theory and application of upscaling methods
- Effective parameters & processes in heterogeneous media
- Management & optimization under uncertainty.
