Summary:
Following the success of the workshops organised during the World Water Congress 2006 (Beijing, China), the IWA Young Water Professional Programme has agreed with the organisers of the 2nd IWA Asia-Pacific Regional Group Conference & Exhibition (ASPIRE) to organise a day of activities/workshops exclusively for Young Water Professionals. This workshop, sponsored by the International Water Centre Pty Ltd, will be divided in three main parts: The Meeting Tomorrow’s Challenges session will provide the opportunity to discuss with water experts the challenges that the water industry will face in the future and you, the future leaders of the sector, will need to address in from a social, economical and environmental point of view. The Career Opportunities Workshop session will provide with information on the different careers that they can have in the water sector, highlighting the skills that you will need and what to expect from: academia, NGOs, consultancy, industry and utilities. The session will finish with a questions and answers session. The YWP and the ASPIRE region session will focus on the YWP Programmes and how they benefit the YWPs.
