Summary:
Management of water resources and understanding ecological consequences of natural or anthropogenic perturbations is demanding a greater understanding of fundamental processes, more sophisticated predictive models and implementation of adaptive management strategies. These new demands often require interdisciplinary approaches and are facilitated by rapid advances in sensor technology, cyberinfrastructure and regional or global communications.

This conference - the joint meeting of the 7th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics and the 8th International Conference on Hydroinformatics - intends to provide a forum to exchange ideas and information related to these emerging technologies and recent advances in the general areas of hydroinformatics, ecohydraulics and ecohydrology-ecodroecology.
