From 2008-09-25 to 2008-09-26
Venue: University of Montana, Missoula, MT, USA
Summary:
This year’s conference will bring four distinguished river scientists to The University of Montana campus to discuss the role humans have had in modifying and controlling large rivers and the results of that modification on large river ecosystems. The main emphasis will be on how to better manage large rivers and restore ecosystem function that has been lost through decades of channeling, diversion and damming while still addressing the pressing water recourse needs of the future.
