Summary:
Dispensing social, cultural and educational services to all in a city is a complicated exercise requiring expertise and the collaboration of numerous partners. It is not alone that one can grasp the complexity of the urban world and manage a city. Its inhabitants also have to be taught to live together. This event will offer concrete examples of actions put into practice focusing on capacity building for local authorities, enhanced water governance and promoting the whole-school approach. This event is an intersectoral effort with contribution and participation of Education, Social and Human Sciences and Natural Sciences Sectors of UNESCO.
