Summary:
The potential of China has been well documented, with some 1.3 billion inhabitants driving double digit economic growth. China’s entry to the WTO made it grow exponentially, and as commercial and industrial output increases, huge pressure is being placed on China’s water infrastructure. In view of these challenges, IWA has partnered with Aquatech China to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners and users in the water sector to exchange their precious experiences, observations, and ideas on the different solutions that can be applied to the challenges that the Chinese water sector is facing.
