Summary:
The objective of the conference is to highlight the need and benefits of integrating and emphasising water in the planning of European cities of the future. Urban planners, policy makers and water managers must respond effectively and urgently to the impacts of climate change, growing resource constraints, rapidly increasing global urbanization and the importance of urban needs that create competition between regions and other water uses.
