Summary:
For water utilities, water loss management is becoming one of the main ways to deal with an increasing unbalance between water consumption and the availability of water resources. Additionally, there is a necessity to reduce production costs, improve the economies of organizations, and postpone capital investments in system reinforcement and rehabilitation. For all these reasons, the Operations and Maintenance SG of IWA decided to organize this conference, where current practices and new tendencies will be analyzed and discussed as the best way of contributing to the overall improvement of the water sector and sustainable development.
