Summary:
The in situ application of chemicals to treat soil and groundwater contamination is a rapidly growing area of remediation technology. ORTs-1 will examine three areas of this developing remediation technology:

- Chemical agents that can be used to oxidize or reduce contaminants;
- Types of oxidation and reduction processes that can be engendered by these agents;
- Methods or equipment used to apply these agents.
