From 2005-06-11 to 2005-06-16
Venue: Berlin, Germany
Summary:
ISMAR 5 will focus on various types of recharge systems via river or lake banks, ponds, wells, basins, galleries, dams, tanks, dunes or dykes. Quantity and quality aspects will both be highlighted during this Symposium since water recharge is used to store water, e.g., in arid zones, or to treat re-used water for a better water quality.
This Symposium will be an excellent basis for scientific exchange and discussion on recent developments, addressing such issues as: geochemical processes; microbiological aspects; removal of pollutants (pathogens, toxins, pharmaceutically active compounds, EDC, desinfection byproducts, etc.); managing aquifer recharge; recharge with treated waste water; hydraulic aspects and modelling; and case studies and regional experience.
