Summary:
The Conference will help to specify the ecohydrological needs of mountainous areas, taking the main points of the Kathmandu Declaration into consideration. This compiles the main conclusions of the first Conference on Ecohydrology of High Mountain Areas held in Kathmandu, Nepal in March 1996. The conference aims at facilitating the exchange of scientific knowledge by bringing together scientists involved in the hydrology of mountainous areas with special emphasis on physical processes and regional aspects.
