Summary:
The Second International Conference on Tropical Climatology, Meteorology and Hydrology TCMH-2001 is the successor of TCMH-1996 which was dedicated to the memory and the pioneering scientific work of the late Franz Bultot (1924-1995). The geographical study area of the conference has now been enlarged to all tropical areas of the Globe.
The objectives of the conference are:
- To advance our scientific understanding of the climate-related risks and to promote development based upon sustainable technology in tropical areas.
- To provide a platform for scientists from all continents dealing with the climate-related aspects of risk analysis and sustainable development in tropical areas.
- To foster sustainable and well-balanced co-operation between scientists from the tropical areas and from other parts of the World.
- To promote climatological, meteorological and hydrological data collection, processing and archiving in tropical areas with a view to abating climate-related risks.
