From 2004-06-16 to 2004-06-18
Venue: Wyndham Hotel, Montreal, Canada
Summary:
Anticipated water cycle and temperature changes, as well as changes in drought and flood frequency, may have a significant impact on water users. Many recent events, from natural disasters to major cumulative effects, foreshadow the potential magnitude of future impacts. Faced with the “environmental challenge of the 21st century,” the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) and its partners are holding a conference that will foster discussions between managers and specialists. The purpose of the congress is to make water resource managers aware of the need to adapt to a new, uncertain climatic reality and to urge researchers and specialists to take action and to develop the necessary tools and knowledge that will make adaptation possible.
