Summary:
The aims of the conference are:

- to improve and adopt new models and techniques for hydrological forecasting and parameters at several time and space scales;
- to better articulate the role of the hydrological and biotic processes in the aquatic systems;and
- to continue the work aiming to explore the land-based activities and climatic forcing on water resources and to develop new capabilities for water quality monitoring and assessment.

Both the methodological approaches as well as the case studies from the Danubian countries are welcome.
