This session is sponsored by the International Association of Hydrogeologists Commission on Groundwater in Urban Areas (IAH CGUA) and is dedicated to the memory of Matthias Eiswirth, Commission Vice-Chair who died 30 December 2003.

The IGC is held just once every four years and is the premier international event for geologists across the globe. The IAH CGUA session on “Urban Groundwater Management” will provide a rare opportunity to promote urban groundwater research on the world’s most prestigious stage. Negotiations are underway to publish the session proceedings in full through a leading international agency.
