Summary:
The course is targeted at decision-makers and senior advisors from government agencies, non-governmental organisations, water services and consulting companies, water supply and wastewater treatment companies, and other companies involved in projects and decisions related to water.
The course aims to guide the participants in applying sound methods, such as decision analysis and stakeholder involvement techniques, to the development and implementation of sustainable water management practices. In addition, the participants will acquire insight into specific issues related to river management, which is the special 2004 course focus. The techniques and methods being tested can be equally well applied to other fields of water management.
