Summary:
This biennial meeting on water and environment is organised to keep on rendering a scientific and technological insight into the new methods for the protection and maintenance of water bodies, from the point of view of both human life and environmental safety.

In comparison to the 1st Conference, cool topics are added (political management of water resources, desertification processes and control of maritime pollution disasters), while more emphasis is given to others (like urban drainage and remote sensing). The main goal of the Capri 2002 Conference is the same of the previous one, that is to break the narrow boundaries among different disciplines, encouraging interdisciplinary studies and exchange of information.
