The conference aims to enhance cooperation between countries in need of desalination technologies and those providing the know-how, with the following objectives: · To evaluate the water requirements of the countries on the Southern rim of the Mediterranean, in the Middle East and in the Gulf Region · To perceive a future outlook of the desalination needs · To present state of the art desalination technologies and latest developments in that field · To discuss the opportunities and challenges facing such technologies · To emphasize on action plans to materialize pertinent desalination technologies.
