Summary:
On 22 March 2005, about 3000 people in Viadana will take part in Rivers in Spring 2, one of the two events in held in Mantova Province, Northern Italy. They will gather on the shores of the River Po, the main river in Italy, to participate in scientific, naturalistic and artistic activities. They will also make excursions by foot, bicycle or boat and take part in other activities aimed at defending the environment. The event has been held in accordance with the Local Agenda 21 of the project ‘Un PO di cultura’, which is linked to other international projects, such as GLOBE, GREEN Europe, and the Elbe River project.
