The Isotope Hydrology Section is responsible for the implementation of the IAEA sub-program in the development and management of water resources, which supports applied research in IAEA Member States in using isotope techniques for problems in the water and environment sectors, and provides technical guidance to technical co-operation projects implemented by the Agency.

The overall aim of this joint FAO/IAEA Programme is to promote food security by increasing or sustaining crop productivity through better management of soil and water resources.
