The World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP), founded in 2000, is the flagship programme of UN-Water. Housed in UNESCO, WWAP monitors freshwater issues in order to provide recommendations, develop case studies, enhance assessment capacity at a national level and inform the decision-making process. Its primary product, the World Water Development Report (WWDR), is a periodic, comprehensive review providing an authoritative picture of the state of the world’s freshwater resources.

Final Drafts of the 3rd UN World Water Development Report submitted to UN-Water

During a two-day meeting of UN-Water at the end of August, in Stockholm, Sweden, Mr Olcay Unver, Coordinator of WWAP, presented the final draft of the third edition of the UN World Water Development Report (WWDR-3) to the members of UN-Water.  This marks an important stage in the development of the report, as the work of writing the text has come to an end.  During this next phase, WWAP will incorporate the feedback from UN-Water and will work toward producing the final text for the third Report.  Please see our webpage on the WWDR-3 for more information on the new process and features of the Report.
