Director's Biography
Sundhaker Reddy Yakanti is currently a student in Cinematography at the Film
and Television Institute of India and has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Photography from the Jawaharlal Nehru College of Fine Arts. Film credits: The
Neighbors (16mm short film) and Lunchbox (digital video shrot film)

Experience
in Making the Film
The New Beginning was my first experienec in directing a short film on celluloid.
I was thrilled and very ebthusiastic about the whole exercise. Through this
opportunutiy I was able to express, through the short film medium, the beauty
and simple pleasures of small things, which I found fascinating.
As
we started working on the casting, location-hunting and production desing and
shooting, we realized that the scope of the film was much more comprehensive
than we thought. We worked as a team and shared all the difficulties and the
dead ends. At times it was to difficult, at times easy, at times beyond control
and at times unbelievable coincidences occurred.
