THE RED TOY, ISRAEL
Background and History of the School
The Sam Spiegel Film and Television School - Jerusalem was established in November 1989 by the Jerusalem Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Culture, which decided to build an institute of higher education in cinema and television, the first of its kind in Israel.
The school was named after the famous Hollywood producer Sam Spiegel, who was born in Poland in 1901, immigrated to Israel-Palestine in the 1920s and became a one-man studio in the United States during the 1940s.

The school, a public non-profit organization, is considered to be one of the best of its kind in the world, winning in international competitions each year and has been awarded Best Film School in Europe and the World Over for the seventh time.
