the Idea behind the Film
The
idea of the film was to make a portrait of one of the vecinedades (residential
buildings with a central patio) as a metaphor of the bigger world outside. I
thought about having a group of noisy neighbours and how the sounds they made
could change from noise to music. It was a very simple idea based on sound and
image. I started to have ideas on how to bring the different characters together
and how these characters would react to a serious occurrence such as an accident.
I made a happy ending to create a feeling of hope and optimism in the midst
of a tragedy and chaos.
