Background and History of the School

The objective of the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) is to train tomorrow's high-level filmmakers, providing them with a deep knowledge of technical and artistic aspects of cinema, production, sound, edition, scriptwriting and directing, within the framework of an integral conception of the cinema language. The CCC is a cinema school, an academic and cultural center that connects cinema -or the moving image- with other ways of artistic expression. From its foundation in 1975, the CCC has been striving to develop its own approach to cinema and to provide a complete aesthetic proposal, which promotes a cinema style that is far from rigid thinking and expression patterns.

Today, the CCC has more than 20 years of experience in the training of young directors through its general course of cinema studies and its four-year education cycle. The center is at the level of the best cinema schools in the world. Its prestige and presence in the cinema circles is reflected in the numerous national and international events its productions are invited to compete in.
