URL of Collection: XXXXXName of Institution: Institution URL: Description: The Gramophone Records Museum and Research Centre of Ghana has just received a grant from a Canadian NGO, the Daniel Langlois Foundation for the Art, Science and Technology of Montreal for its Project "GHANA'S HIGHLIFE MUSIC: A DIGITAL REPERTOIRE OF RECORDINGS AND POP ART". The Project involves the digitization and archiving of its collections and the creation of a web site to be hosted on the Server of the Foundation in Canada. Presently the Museum is inside the Central Region's Buildings of the National Commission on Culture in Cape Coast. As a result of this Project and the need for space for its numerous anticipated activities the Management of the Museum is seeking to re-locate to Fort St. Jago in Elmina which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Main language of the collection: Type of Material: |
