    Description: Built up over a period of more than 500 years, the Special Collections of Glasgow University Library now contain more than 300,000 manuscript items and around 200,000 printed works, including over 1,000 incunabula. The online exhibitions is an expanding collection of digitised images with explanatory text drawn from this vast resource. Included so far are: Allen & Ferguson's 'Views in Glasgow' digitised in its entirety, book bindings, books on witchcraft, eighteenth-century Chemistry papers, books portraying the history of printing in England, and books relating to the enlightenment in Scotland. A different volume is highlighted in detail every month for the 'book of the month' feature.
