Are you looking for an image of a Bauhaus glass facade in Dessau, Germany, or an adobe frieze at the Tschudi Palace in Chan-Chan, Peru? You can find them on the web site of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) at http://www.iccrom.org.

They are part of the on-line version of ICCROM’s image archive which consist of some 60,000 photographs. The images provide unique testimony to the conservation and documentation of cultural heritage over the past 40 years. At present, only a small proportion of the total collection is available on this site. The collection, however, is increasing steadily and being updated continuously.

The image archive project is made possible by the contribution of equipment from Hewlett Packard Italia and grants from Samuel H. Kress Foundation and the Finnish Government.
